Hi there, I’m Linda.

The cheese enthusiast
behind The Honest Fig.

What began as a tiny cheese stall
on Royston Market has grown into
an award-winning shop at the Corn Exchange, built on a love for
cheese and community.

Linda Holding a Big Block of Cheese

From sustainable practices to unforgettable grazing boards, we’re here to bring people together over truly exceptional cheese.

Every wedge we source is chosen for its craft and character, supporting small dairies and artisan makers across Britain and Europe.

Our Producers

Cashel Crozier Blue Cheese
Cashel Irish Farmhouse Cheesemakers

When Louis & Jane Grubb set out to make Cashel Blue® in the early 1980’s, their ambition was to create a farmhouse cheese that “truly represents the outstanding quality of Tipperary grass-fed milk.”

St.Jude Cheese from Whitewood Dairy
Whitewood Dairy

Led by Julie Cheyney and Blake Bowden, based on Bungay Farm in Suffolk. Using the same rich, raw milk as the famous Baron Bigod, they craft delicate, characterful cheeses like St Jude and its washed-rind sibling, St Cera.

Lynher Dairies

A small, artisan cheesemaker nestled in Ponsanooth, near Truro in Cornwall. Owned by Catherine Mead OBE DL, Lynher Dairies has built a reputation for creating exceptional, hand-crafted cheeses using milk from its own herd of Ayrshire cows.

Caseificio La Baronia

Caseificio La Baronia are artisan cheesemakers in Italy, crafting Burrata and Mozzarella that are perfectly fresh, simple, and delicious. Using traditional techniques and the best local milk, their cheeses capture the authentic taste of Italy in every bite.

At The Honest Fig, food hygiene is our top priority. From sourcing to preparation, every step meets the highest standards so you can enjoy our products with complete confidence.

“This amazing, family-run cheese shop is nothing short of magical. Every wheel and wedge tells a story—of tradition, passion, and generations of craftsmanship. The selection is outstanding and each cheese is a masterpiece, bursting with flavor and soul. The warm welcome and genuine care from the owners make every visit feel like coming home.

If Michelin gave stars to cheese shops, this one would earn three without hesitation. A must-visit for any true cheese lover.”
